Chocolates are loved by almost everyone, which is why giving chocolate as a gift is a great idea for just about any occasion. It's not often that you come across people who do not love to endulge themselves in chocolates and other sweets. The selection is tremendous which means that the choice of gifts that you can give is just as large.
Chocolate contains:
* Antioxidants: Can help combat dangerous free radicals.
* Caffeine: High enough caffeine content to fight fatigue.
* Catechins: Thought to help fight heart disease and possibly cancer. Dark chocolate can contain up to four times the amount of catechins found in green tea.
* Copper: Helps in collagen formation needed for supple skin, aids bone growth and strength, and facilitates the transportation of iron.
* Endorphin Secretion: Produces a pleasurable sensation or high similar to the runner抯 high a jogger feels after running. I
* Serotonin: A chemical found in the brain which can act as an anti-depressant.
Chocolate as a gift sounds healthy. Well, as long as we do not mention its negative qualities of calories, sugar, dairy, and high fat content. Much of the fat in chocolate, though, comes from cocoa butter, which melts at body temperature. This helps create that pleasant melt-in-your-mouth sensation.
Many people crave chocolate. They crave it because chocolate tastes wonderful as it seems to melt in your mouth, though. They also crave it because of emotional associations of chocolate and love and holidays or other celebrations.
